An email was sent to all Got to Be NC members on June 12, 2023 announcing that registration was open for the NC State Fair. We greatly apologize if the email landed in your junk/spam folder or if you did not see the email. 

Booth space may already be sold out however you are highly encouraged to still apply so you can be placed on the waitlist.

If you are a vendor/concessionaire (food trucks, novelty owners) DO NOT apply here. Please contact Letrice Midgett at letrice.midgett@ncagr.gov.

Got to Be NC members are invited to be a part of the Got to Be NC Pavilion located inside the Dorton Arena at the NC State Fair on October 12-22, 2023.  The Got to Be NC Pavilion will highlight products grown and manufactured in North Carolina as well as our marketing services. The Got to Be NC Pavilion is a juried exhibit. Through our review process, we hope to offer a variety of products to our exhibit patrons. Application does not guarantee acceptance.

Applicants must be a member of the Got to Be NC marketing program and be listed in the Got to Be NC Find Local directory. Please note that beer and spirit vendors are not eligible for space in the Got to Be NC Pavilion. If you are not a current member, you can apply here. Be advised that it can take up to four weeks for your membership application to be reviewed. (The membership application is different from the fair application.)

Early application is recommended. Booth space typically sells out before the deadline of July 28, 2023. Applications may still be submitted after the deadline however you will be placed on a waitlist.

Additional Information

The Got to Be NC Pavilion will offer Got to Be NC member companies the opportunity to show, sample, and sell their products. Only products grown/manufactured in North Carolina may be shown, sampled, and sold in this space. Booth spaces may not be shared.


  • You will receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your application. (This is NOT a guarantee of approval.)
  • Notification of acceptance will be delivered via email. (Be sure to check your junk/spam folder frequently.)
  • If approved, you will receive an email with a link to submit your payment. The payment link is time sensitive.
  • Your payment is due within 48 hours of the payment link being sent to secure your vendor space. SPACES ARE NOT SECURED UNTIL PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE.
  • Payments must be submitted via debit/credit card.


  • You will be required to upload a current Certificate of Liability Insurance at the time of application.
  • Minimum requirements are $1,000,000 Combined Single Limit for each occurrence.
  • An insurance company licensed to do business in North Carolina must issue the certificate.
  • NCDA&CS and NC State Fair must be named as certificate holder and additional insured. 
  • The effective dates of the certificate must cover the set up and duration of the fair, October 10 – 22, 2023.
  • The certificate holder’s address must be listed as 4285 Trinity Road, Raleigh NC 27607.
  • Click here for an example of the certificate. Send the example to your insurance company and double check that your certificate has all the information that is in red font on the example before you submit it with your application.

Each single booth is 10′ x 10′ with an 8′ back wall and 3′ side walls. (Pipe & Drape)

  • (1) skirted 8’ counter OR standard height table
  • (1) undraped 8’ standard-height table (for back of booth)
  • (2) upholstered stools OR non-padded folding chairs
  • (1) company name sign (no color/no logo)
  • (1) Offsite parking permit
  • (2) Admission tickets (two per day/per booth)
  • (1) Delivery Vehicle Permit for Restocking (See restricted hours below.)
  • Electricity
  • Wineries will receive complimentary boxes and red tape for bottle sales.


  • Your product may require inspection.
  • Your product may require you to have a hand sink in your booth. You must provide the sink yourself.
  • Wake County Environmental Services will contact you regarding a 1% gross sales tax.
  • Wineries must submit a copy of your ABC permit if approved for booth space.
  • You will need to bring your own trash can.
  • If you need additional chairs/stools you will need to provide them yourself. We can no longer accommodate additional requests.
  • Booths must be staffed the entire duration of your shift even if you sell out. Plan accordingly.
  • If you need to bring your vehicle on fairgrounds to restock you will only be permitted to have your vehicle on the grounds between 12:01 am – 8:00 am.
  • If you need more admission tickets for additional staff, you will be required to purchase them separately.
  • You will only receive ONE offsite parking pass per booth purchase. You are responsible for parking and may park at any of the free public lots located near the fairgrounds.
