What is it that makes a recipe taste like home? Is it the local, seasonal ingredients? The cooking method, perfected and passed down? Or the love shared when friends and family enjoy a meal together?

In our upcoming cookbook, Homes in the Hometowns, Got to Be NC will feature recipes from home kitchens across North Carolina – and we want one of yours! Send us a favorite from your family table and share with us the memories that make it so special. Be sure to include any NC details – local ingredients, local farms, local businesses where you shop for ingredients – along with family photos.

If you have any questions, please contact Caitlyn Randall, caitlyn.randall@ncagr.gov.
