Crockpot Applesauce

This is a simple way to make homemade applesauce.  My grandmother made her own but on the stove.  This is easier for me so I don’t have to keep an eye on the pot.  You can flavor it with cinnamon or other fruits. The best part is you control the sugar.

Ingredients

Golden Delicious Apples, peeled, cored and sliced

Pink Lady Apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1/2
cup water
3/4
cup sugar (optional)
Cinnamon to taste (optional)

Directions

Place the apples and water in a crockpot.  Add the sugar and cinnamon if you prefer.

Cover and cook on low for 5 hours.
