Game Day Meatballs

These meatballs are also delicious over pasta with spaghetti sauce or with mashed potatoes and gravy.  You can also use them to make meatball subs for game day. Just make the meatballs a little larger and cook them a little longer.

Ingredients

Game Day Meatballs:
1
1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1
cup corn flakes, crumbled
1
egg
2
Tablespoons Worcestershire
1
medium onion, finely chopped
1/4
cup ketchup
1/2
teaspoon garlic powder
1/2
teaspoon salt
1/2
teaspoon black pepper
1/4
cup fresh parsley, chopped
Sauce:
1
16 oz. can whole cranberry sauce
1
16 oz. bottle thick and chunky barbeque sauce
1/2
cup brown sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl, mix together the first 10 ingredients until well combined but do not over mix.   Scoop out the meat mixture using a tablespoon. Shape into a ball about 1 inch in diameter.  Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes or until brown, turning once while baking.

While the meatballs are cooking, mix together the sauce and heat in a large pot or crock pot. Add the cooked meatballs and heat for about 30 minutes before serving.
