Ingredients

12
cups popped corn (5 oz. bag)
1
(10.5 oz.) bag of M&M plain candy
Cooking Spray
1
1/2 cups roasted lightly salted peanuts
2
cups sugar
1/2
cup unsalted butter
1/2
cup heavy cream
1/2
cup honey
1/2
tsp. baking soda

Directions

Pour the peanuts and popcorn evenly into a 20 x 14 ½ pan.

Combine sugar, butter, cream and honey in a large heavy-bottom pot and bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to medium and continue cooking until a candy thermometer reads 235-245 degrees, this takes about 10 minutes. This is considered soft-ball stage. The mixture should be able to form a sticky ball that flattens when dropped in cold water. Remove from heat, add baking soda and stir well. Pour sugar mixture evenly over popcorn and peanuts; stir well to completely coat and allow to cool for 3 minutes. Then stir in the candy pieces and allow to cool 2 minutes more. Wearing latex gloves that have been sprayed with cooking spray, carefully form mixture into balls.
