c. white whole wheat flour
1/4
c. ground flax seed
2
Tbsp. grated parmesan cheese
1/2
to ¾ c. all-purpose white flour
1
t. sugar
1
c. warm water (120 - 130 degrees)
3
Tbsp. olive oil
Topping:
1/2
t. ground basil
1/2
jar prepared Alfredo sauce
1
½ c. cooked chicken
Chopped spinach
8

Directions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Combine yeast, whole wheat flour, ground flax seed, parmesan cheese, sugar and salt.

Add water and oil. Mix together until well blended.

Add gradually, ½ c. white flour until soft dough ball is formed. Knead on floured surface; add in additional flour as needed, until dough is smooth and elastic. With floured hands, press dough, starting in the center, to fill greased 14 inch pizza pan. Prick with fork. Let rest 5 minutes.

Bake 5 – 7 minutes. Top with Alfredo sauce and sprinkle with basil. Top with chicken and spinach. Cover with cheese, (Italian cheese blend and mozzarella were used for this recipe).

Bake on bottom oven rack for 12 – 15 min. until cheese is bubbly and crust is brown.
