Sausage and Cheese Wontons

Brian shared this recipe with me after a colleague brought it into work.  They found it on food.com.  We added a little salsa as a topping.  You could also add a dash of Texas Pete to the mixture.

Ingredients

1
(16 ounce) package wonton wrappers – usually found in the produce section
1
lb. sausage, browned and drained – we used hot sausage when making the recipe
1
cup shredded Monterey jack cheese
1
cup shredded cheddar cheese
1
cup ranch dressing

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Spray miniature muffin pan with cooking spray.  Insert wonton wrappers into the muffin pan to create a small cup.  Bake for 5 minutes and allow to cool.

In a medium bowl, mix the cooled sausage, cheeses and Ranch dressing.  Fill the wonton wrapper cups with the mixture and bake for 10-15 minutes, until the sausage mixture is bubble and slightly brown.

Watch closely so the wonton wrappers do not burn.  Garnish with salsa and serve.
