Stew Beef in the Crock Pot

This meal is delicious over rice or mashed potatoes.  Garnish with a little chopped parsley and serve with a fresh salad or green beans.

Servings: 6
Cook Time: Prep Time: 10 minutes; Total Time: 10 minutes plus low for 8 to 9 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours until beef is tender.

Ingredients

pounds stew beef
1
onion, chopped
1/4
cup Worcestershire sauce
1
tsp. garlic powder
1/4
tsp. ground pepper
1/4
tsp. salt
1/4
tsp. dried thyme
1
jar mushrooms
8
oz. beef broth
Crock pot liner, optional

Directions

Coat the stew beef with salt, pepper, thyme and garlic.

Place the liner in the crock pot or spray with cooking spray.

Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce in the crock pot adding the vegetables and finally the meat, stir gently to combine.

Place the lid on and cook on low for 8 to 9 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours until beef is tender.
