Stuffing with sausage, pecans and cranberries

If you are cooking a turkey, add some of the drippings with the chicken broth for a richer flavor. You can always add more liquid is you prefer a very moist dressing.

Ingredients

oz. pkg. regular or sage sausage
2
cups celery, finely chopped
1
cup onion, finely chopped
4
cups Pepperidge Farms Herbed Seasoned Classic Stuffing
1/4
cup fresh parsley, chopped
1
tsp poultry seasoning
1
cup chicken broth
1
egg lightly beaten
1/2
cup pecans, toasted and chopped
1/2
cup dried cranberries (Craisins)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Step 2

Cook sausage, celery and onion in a large skillet over medium-high heat 8-10 minutes or until sausage is thoroughly cooked; drain. Spoon into a large bowl.

Step 3

Add stuffing, parsley, seasoning; mix lightly. Add in broth, egg and mix until blended. Stir in pecans and cranberries.

Step 4

Spoon into a lightly greased 2-quart casserole or soufflé dish; cover and bake 45 minutes or until thoroughly heated, uncover after 35 minutes.
