Hi! My name is Nicole and I’ve recently started a licensed home baking business that specializes in allergy-friendly, plant-based cookies that are dairy-free and egg-free. I am a retail bakery renting space at The Cookery, in Durham to produce my product. Cookies are packaged individually. My custom product label as well as a nutrition label are attached to each cookie package. Over the past 9 years I have learned how to make foods that are traditionally made with dairy and eggs allergy-friendly for my son, Joshua, who has severe food allergies to milk and eggs. Crumbs Cookie Company, LLC was inspired by my desire to create a yummy and safe cookie for him. And they actually taste great! Something that is not necessarily easy to do when you take out milk and egg. So great, in fact, that I just had to share them. So, when I say these cookies are “baked with love” I mean it, because each and every cookie is made with Joshua in mind. My cookies are always plant-based, dairy-free, egg-free, and of course delicious! As a member of the food allergy community, I can assure you that this community is growing and always looking for allergy-friendly options, which aren’t always easy to come by. Providing specialty items such as my product will help to increase a sense of inclusion from those in the food allergy community, which is often a community that doesn’t always have safe food options offered or available to them at gatherings, events, and even retailers.
