Agritourism

Well we think alpacas are amazing and we love to educate and share them with the public. My Dad and I started this farm as he phased into retirement. It's been a great bonding experience for us. Alpacas are arguably the most eco-friendly and sustainable animal ever. Their incredibly low impact on the landscape and their fleece excels at thermoregulation so it's perfect in all climates. Their fleece is also water repellent, fire retardant and every bit as soft and luxurious as cashmere. It also contains no lanolin (like wool) so it's not itchy and has minimal allergic reactions. We sheer the alpacas once a year and have a great amount of fleece that is then converted into products, like yarn and socks. Alpaca poop is also a great fertilizer and because of its properties it can be used immediately, unlike many other fertilizers. Alpacas are sweet, docile and very curious animals as well. It's a very peaceful and educational experience to visit our farm!
