FernCrest Winery

We are a family run small boutique winery that makes wine from grapes that we grow and grapes from local vineyard partners. Our wines have won awards at the NC State Fair. The winery produces hot water and electricity from solar panels. Our wines are dry to sweet, red, white and rose. We also produce a blackberry blueberry wine. We grow Chardonel, Vidal Blanc, Cynthiana/Norton and Castel grapes. We sell local cheeses. Our vineyard is on steep slope in the Snowbird Mountains. We planted the vineyard in 2010, started the winery in 2014 to allow the red wines to be 2 years old before we bottled them and opened the tasting room in downtown Andrews in May of 2016. Our production winery used oak barrels to age the reds. The tasting room offers a taste of 5 of our wines. We have indoor and outdoor seating and are dog and child friendly. Tours of the vineyard and winery are available by appointment.
