Hobe’s Country Ham is a family owned and operated business since 1973. We are located in the heart of North Carolina’s Blue Ridge foothills in North Wilkesboro, NC. Hobe’s was founded by our late grandfather Hobert Gambill. He took immense pride in serving families at the table and providing exceptional quality country ham for over 40 years. We are incredibly honored to say we are still family owned and operated by the third generation, veteran owned and we take great pride in continuing our grandfather’s name and tradition. Our goal is, and will always be, to preserve our family history and techniques to continue providing unsurpassed quality, service, and the BEST good Old Fashioned Country Ham.Hobert started curing ham back in 1971 and sold from the trunk of his car. In 1973 he broke ground in North Wilkesboro and opened the first location. With hard work and pride in his product, he was able to successfully expand, and later built a separate curing facility in downtown Wilkesboro. Now serving customers in North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee and South Carolina, we are still growing. Hobe’s is the original country ham provider in Wilkes County. We still operate at both locations and continue to follow his original recipe for success.Hobert believed if you provide a quality product, you would keep customers coming back.
