Looking Glass Creamery

Looking Glass Creamery is a seasonal farmstead dairy and cheesemaking operation in the foothills of North Carolina in Columbus. In addition to milking cows and making cheese, they operate a busy cafe and store on the 226 acre dairy farm that is open 5 days a week year round. There you can get their cheese retail, ice cream by the scoop, farm raised beef, other local food products and enjoy a grilled cheese sandwich or cheeseboard made with their cheese. They have 1,000 square feet of underground aging cellars for their cheeses that visitors can look into when exploring the farm.
Adjacent to the farm store is a display garden, goats near the store, walking trails on the farm and a vibrant agritourism program including music, special events and u-pick sunflowers throughout the year.

Cheesemaking came to the farm in 2017 when Looking Glass Creamery relocated their processing facility onto the farm that supplied their milk. Look into their production facility and see cheeses aging underground. Enjoy their cafe and store open 5 days a week year round and enjoy some of the best ice cream made with seasonal fruit from the farm. Try their award wining cheese or stay awhile and enjoy a grilled cheese sandwich and charcuterie board featuring all cheeses made onsite. They host events throughout the year including free u-pick sunflowers, music, fried cheese curd night and more. Enjoy wine by the glass or bottle alongside their house-made hard cider from local apples.
