Lotus Acres is a Farm inspired by Nature and the Legacy of the Animals. All of the Animals on the Farm are Heritage Breeds that are pasture-raised and grass-fed in an environment where they are comfortable grazing, browsing and relaxing. Heritage breeds are traditional livestock breeds that were raised by our forefathers. These are the breeds of a bygone era, before industrial agriculture became a mainstream practice. The Holistic Management style on Lotus Acres encompasses the relationship between the sun, water, soil, insects, plants and animals. We strive to have the soil covered by diverse grass harvested by the animals, helping to use the sun’s solar energy and encouraging more microbe activity. Our mission is to provide Heritage Cattle, Lamb, Turkey and Chicken with exceptional characteristics to help others improve their herds, produce quality homegrown food for people to enjoy, enrich the land for wildlife to thrive and have a place for the next generation to be Happy and Healthy!
