NC State Small Ruminant Educational Unit
The NCSU Small Ruminant Educational Unit is a teaching farm through the university that serves as a place for extension events, undergraduate classes as well as members of the meat and fiber small ruminant industry. They sell livestock throughout the year at various events such as NCSU Wolfpack Roundup, Virginia Tech's SW AREC Ram Test, and various online sales. They are a part of the NSIP (National Sheep Improvement Program) and use this system to better evaluate animals on a genetic scale.
