Ochre Hill Farms offers something rare; a working family lavender and blueberry farm tucked into the Smoky Mountains where visitors can slow down and actually experience where their products come from. Everything there is hand-grown and hand-harvested. Visitors get something authentic; a real family farm rooted in N.C. tradition and a genuine love of the land. Despite being nestled in the mountains, they're easy to get to, making them a natural stop for anyone traveling through the western part of the state. Visitors who stay in their farm cottage can relax and settle into the daily rhythm of a working family farm. Those just passing through can browse the farm store, pick up a value-added lavender products or a jar of mountain-made jam and escape for a little while. During lavender season, the smell fills the air and the fields come alive. They are passionate about growing genuine field-to-table goods, quality produce, fresh berries and lavender products made in small batches right on the farm.
