Terrace Ridge Farm, LLC is a fourth generation farm that has been operated by the Parker family since 1926. We have farmed tobacco, dewberries, produce, hay, and beef. My grandfather plowed and planted with horse-drawn plows which are still present on the farm. Today, we are known for our high-quality beef and hay. We are one of the few farms in the local area who still practice the art of making top-quality square bales of hay for horses. Although we like to follow some old-fashioned farming methods, we also use the latest scientific data available to always improve our methods. For example, we conduct regular soil tests, hay tests, and forage tests so that we always know what our animals are eating. Further, in 2019, we installed a state-of-the-art multifunctional cattle handling facility that is designed to minimize animal stress and allow for safe animal handling. Farm tours are available by appointment for guests to learn how Terrace Ridge Farm produces some of the best coastal bermuda hay and beef.
