The Sarcastic Sow Farm

The Sarcastic Sow Farm raises multiple species on pasture with an intensive rotational grazing program and permaculture practices. We are working to restore the health of our 12 acres that was previously used as a tobacco farm. By grazing cattle, goats, pigs, and a variety of fowl we are giving the land back the nutrients and organic matter that the tobacco took from it. The resulting meat and eggs are a delicious byproduct of working with nature. Our Idaho Pasture Pig pork is deep red in color, perfectly marbled, and packed with nutrients. We supplement our animals diets with non-GMO, locally sourced, and soy free feed that is milled right here in NC. Pastured animals soak up the vitamins and minerals from the sun and grass and pass them along to us in our food. Basically, we’re turning sunshine into bacon! Taste the difference today!

Agritourism

The SSF is home to three generations of farmers. Our goals are to raise animals on pasture and to restore the health of our land through regenerative agriculture practices. All of our animals are rotated to fresh pastures frequently within our 12 acres. We also use permaculture practices so that no space is wasted. The results of these practices are nutrient dense and vitamin packed food sources.
