Valley River Vineyards
Valley River Vineyards was named after the Valley River that stretches thru Cherokee County N.C. The family owned vineyard was one of the first for the county and Western North Carolina in 1997. There are forty two acres to adventure on with clear water creek and forest floor landscapes. Five of those acres produce Vinifra, French Hybrid, North American grapes and several fruit berries that where added later. The winery is most famous for its 1819 family history along with the primitive camping, picnics, walking trails and wildlife observation tree houses. It is well known for white tail deer and turkeys to just make their selves at home in the vineyard. The wines are all produced and bottled on the premises from the estate vines and fruits. There is a limousine you can rent that will take you to the neighboring wineries for tastings of the day!! Weddings and Birthday parties have been a big hit for the outdoor venues. If you want to relax while sitting by the creek with the warm wind in your face and sipping on a glass of wine, this is for you!!
