Wood Angus Farm

Wood Angus Farm is a three generation family farming operation located in the McGee’s Crossroads community of Johnston County, North Carolina. Russell and Elaine Wood are the patriarch and matriarch whose devotion to their Angus cattle and Duroc hogs is the cornerstone on which the family’s business is built. Partnered with sons Jeff and Robbie, the Woods continue to grow the agricultural footprint of their farm as a way to share the farm experience with the community and to preserve the farming way of life for the next generation. This next generation – the sixth to live, work and play on this land – includes a team of grandchildren who can be found working on the farm, either in the barn with their show cows, sorting beef and pork orders for delivery or any number of other tasks that Grandaddy Wood has for them. Farm herdsman, Rodolfo Villeda, and office manager, Paula Strother, also play an integral part in bringing our products to our customers.Angus bulls and females from our genetics program are ready to go to work for both commercial and purebred cattlemen. Farm raised beef, pork and eggs are available to be purchased through our online store or at The Market at Wood Angus. The Market also offers local foods and treats from the Got To Be NC Marketing Program. The Barn at Wood Angus Farm is now available for rent as an event venue for weddings and other parties. At Wood Angus Farm, we remain committed to partnering with farmers, consumers and agriculture enthusiasts to celebrate the things that we love.
