Agritourism

Over the past three generations, the Wrenn's have continually passed down a passion for farming and feeding the local community. Fletcher Wrenn started Wrenn's Farm in 1967 by constructing greenhouses to grow tomatoes and cucumbers. He wanted to move away from growing tobacco, which the family had been doing for several generations before Fletcher had dreams of greenhouses filled with produce. Fletcher was successful in starting the business with the help of his family. Fletcher had a son, Mitchell, who grew up with the same passion for agriculture as his parents. He expanded the business by starting a pick-your-own strawberry field, which eventually became the majority of the business. Much like his parents, Mitchell ended up with two sons that had a passion for the outdoors and working the land. His oldest son, Austin, always knew that he wanted to be a farmer. He took over the strawberry operation after college with the help of his younger brother, Ethan, and they have been hard at work making improvements ever since.Today, we have a pick-your-own strawberry operation open to the public during strawberry season. We are located at 5078 Brantley Road in Zebulon, between 264A and Hwy 97. There is a parking lot, hand-washing area, and shelter where the produce is weighed and people stop for a while to sit down and take a break from the hectic rush of everyday life. Come out and enjoy the fresh air and sweet smell of strawberries this spring! In the late spring, summer, and fall we grow a great variety of cut flowers. Most of these cut flowers are sold at farmer's markets and to a local wholesaler, but we are always making custom bouquets for special events, such as homecomings, birthdays and wedding showers. We pride ourselves in growing every flower that goes into our arrangements, and our customers are always happy to receive bouquets that are 100% grown on the farm!
