Shipley Farms Beef in Vilas, NC typically has an annual farm tour and chef social this time of year. Got To Be NC joined with Shipley Farms and the North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association to present the very first Shipley Farms Virtual Chef Social.  This hour long video features a presentation from Lynn Minges, President and CEO of the NCRLA about the new Count On Me NC program as well as moving into phase two and the public’s expectations. Also featured is Chef Curt Shelvey of Curt’s Cucina in Southern Pines in an interview about how he is dealing with the virus, what changes he has made and what he has planned moving forward. Got To Be NC Culinary Ambassador Chef Steven Goff, owner of Aux Bar in Asheville and NCRLA Chef of the Year, talks about making the most of Shipley Farms Beef sirloin. Chef Goff presents four dishes and some great ideas like beef marmalade and beef butter! He offers a great segment on how to utilize every part to maximize profits and deliver delicious dishes.
