Spicy Barbeque Pork

Kay Powell from Fuquay shared this recipe with me.  I have enjoyed her cooking since I was a little girl.  Remember to divide the sauce before basting so you can serve it with your pork.  This is a juicy and spicy way to savor pork tenderloin.

Ingredients

Spicy Barbeque Pork:
3
pound pork tenderloin roast
1/2
cup water
Sauce:
1/3
cup vinegar
1
cup catsup
1
cup brown sugar
2
tablespoons commercial honey BBQ sauce
1
tablespoon prepared mustard
1
tablespoon olive oil
1
tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1
tablespoon crushed red pepper (can use more or less depending on spice tolerance)

Directions

Spicy Barbeque Pork:

Salt and pepper roast and place in roasting pan uncovered, add water and roast for 2 hours at 325 degrees or until meat thermometer reaches 145 degrees.

Baste with sauce after 1 hour and every 20 minutes thereafter.

Sauce:

Mix all ingredients and simmer for about 15 minutes.

The sauce can be made in advance to allow the flavors to blend.
